The next stop was Port Orange, Florida to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. There, he learned how to assist others who were afflicted with problems like the ones he'd experience in childhood. "I get incredible results helping people with headaches and migraines. I know what it is like, and you don't have to put up with the pain."
“Through all of these experiences, I believe I have been preparing for this opportunity to serve my community at the highest level possible.”
While gaining his chiropractic education, Dr. Rick met Dr. B.J. Kale and started training with him. Dr. B.J. brought Dr. Rick on three mission trips to Nicaragua, where they saw 15,000 people in just a few days who needed health care. He taught Dr. Rick the Upper Cervical Technique he uses in practice today – the same method Dr. Rick’s father learned from Dr. B.J.’s dad, Dr. Michael Kale.
When Dr. Rick graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic, he was given the Virgil V. Strange Philosophy Award, bestowed upon a single graduate. He is the past president and current member of the Xi Chapter of the Delta Sigma Chi Fraternity of Straight Chiropractic, which is one of the oldest chiropractic associations in existence.
Dr. Rick supports the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce and is a past Board Director and current Founders member of the Florida Chiropractic Society.
Dr. Erickson is very excited to bring his talents and experience to Corrective Spinal Care of Florida and the Cape Coral and surrounding communities.
“Through all of these experiences, I believe I have been preparing for this opportunity to serve my community at the highest level possible.”
Dr. Erickson believes the last thing the world needs is less hope and he believes it is his calling as a chiropractor to restore hope and see the innate potential God has placed in every person come alive.

Was born in Davenport, Iowa; the same place Chiropractic was first discovered. While Attending St. Ambrose University, Dr. Johnson found his health struggles adding up. Dr. Johnson was nearly 400 pounds, suffered from insomnia, and struggled with his asthma. After many failed attempts and closed doors from traditional medicine, Dr. Johnson turned to chiropractic and finally had success. "I started to lose weight, sleeping through the night, and could finally start to exercise because I had less pain. Not to mention I could actually breath, after a few months of care I no longer needed my inhaler. Thanks to chiropractic, I haven't used it in nearly 5 years." Through careful corrective chiropractic he was empowered and knew that he wanted others to find empowerment of their health. He continued on to complete his degree with Palmer College of Chiropractic.
During his time at Palmer Dr. Johnson dedicated countless hours of out of class time to being certified in Advanced HIO and The Art of the Specific. "After all off the classes I took and the time I spent learning, which was great and necessary, the most profound experience I had at Palmer was the passing of my older brother, Ryan. Ryan had similar struggles that I had, weight and breathing, and on top of that injuries from serving our country. At the time of his surgery I was unable to convey that chiropractic could help. He ended up passing away following a spinal surgery, which he thought was his only choice. Armed with this experience I know God has tasked me with helping as many people as possible through chiropractic. Chiropractic allows you to take your health into your own hands, it empowers you to live more life with less suffering. I've been so blessed to help so many. If you're reading this and need help, this is your sign. We are here for you, our doors are open just for you. Don't wait on health, because sickness won't wait on you."
After a traumatic car accident and seeing his life of collegiate athletic success come tumbling down, much less the inability to perform even the simplest of tasks, Dr. Khan found success and happiness through Chiropractic care. Naturally, it was the only right that he change his pre-medical course work and shift his focus to Chiropractic.
Growing up in a family of medical professionals, Dr. Khan saw it as a continuation of the calling to continue along the path. It was what he saw at the time that brought relief to so many people. After multiple failed attempts at finding solutions after his car accident through traditional routes, he believed he was destined for a life of unfortunate misery, pain and suffering. However, it was Chiropractic care that gave him a glimmer of hope which led him to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida.
As he studied further along, he found that it was not traditional but Specific Corrective Chiropractic care that gave him the most success. Rightfully so, he continued his studies to further learn, explore, and attempt to master the science, art and philosophy of this specific care. Having done multiple mission trips abroad and seeing thousands and thousands of the severest of cases get well and stay well gave a profound and resounding volition to continue to give and serve at the highest of levels.
His vision of love all, serve all, led Dr. Khan to open/operate multiple successful Corrective Chiropractic offices in Italy where to date thousands of people receive the best care possible with a lasting purpose to be well and stay well.
Currently, Dr. Khan is a proud member of the Corrective Spinal Care team in SWFL where he wishes to continue to love all, serve all!
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Rick and his wife are involved with Bo Nose Rescue. They travel all over the state to save dogs that have been abandoned or abused, with a particular interest in German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois dogs. His wife does dock diving with them, as well as protection training.
As Dr. Rick has been surrounded by chiropractic care for his entire life, he is passionate about the profession and is extremely knowledgeable about helping people. He particularly enjoys providing care for first-time chiropractic patients, putting them at ease and helping them feel confident and comfortable.
“I treat you just like you are my family.”
